In Ohio, many townships and municipalities have created local mayor’s courts, which essentially are their own small courthouses. The Grove City Mayor’s Court in Franklin County handles both DUI and OVI (operating a vehicle impaired) and other traffic violations and criminal misdemeanors. Cases are heard by a magistrate appointed by the mayor of Grove City. As with other Ohio mayor’s courts, Grove City Mayor’s Court does not conduct jury trials. If a defendant wants and is entitled to a jury trial, the case is transferred to Franklin County Municipal Court.

Grove City Mayor’s Court is located at 3360 Park Street in downtown Grove City, Ohio and is in session Wednesdays from 9am to 5pm.
